THE LAST CLASS

Today we had the final exam of the course, which was to make a conversation in groups of 3, first we had to make a presentation of each one and then we would move on to the conversation that could consist of: a job interview or about the last vacation.


For the presentation of each group, the teacher raffled the order, my group was almost the last, we decided to talk about the last vacations.


It was very interesting to know what my classmates had done on their vacations and how they felt at that time.
At the end of the whole class, we held a small meeting, where we all brought food to share, before that some of my classmates along with the delegate talked about how they felt during the course and what activity they liked best.

In my opinion I use the teaching method of Professor Gabriela a lot since at all times I seek the participation of all her students, in the most creative and dynamic way possible, I thank the teacher for all the performance she showed during the course and especially the patience he had with us despite our mistakes.

SKETCH OF JOB INTERVIEW

At the beginning of the class we complete a crossword puzzle and pupils about the vocabulary of a job interview.


After the words are known, we form two groups in the classroom to make a competition about the new vocabulary.
The game was that the teacher would say the meaning of the word and the students should touch the word written on the board with a fly swatter, the person who does it first would be the winner.
My group was the winner of the game and the teacher gave us cookies as a gift.


Finally, it was time for the main activity that was the sketch of the job interview, some groups already took their interview on video but others like my group presented it live.
My group is the panel interview, this type of job interview a single candidate will be in front of several interviewers who will ask questions without an established order, and that will depend on the position you are demanding and the capabilities that the company I searched.
Although the sketch of my group did not exceed the teacher's expectations, he told us that we could improve it by making a video.




VIDEOCALL WITH THE TEACHER

This week we did not have classes with the teacher, because of elections at the UNAC, so the delegate with the teacher organized for each group to make a video call so she can explain the next project.



The project would be to sketch a job interview, in the video call the teacher told us the vocabulary that we should use, in addition to the type of interview we would conduct, which was the panel type.

The sketch would be next week for all groups, each of them would present a different type of interview to know what each one is about.


 The points to evaluate would be the following:







KARAOKE

Professor Gabriela left us as a task to do a karaoke with our groups, but not only to sing but to perform some steps or do mimes. For this the teacher we had already made a dynamic similar to the song by Ed Sheeran entitled Perfect.
My group and I chose a song from High School Musical called What I've been looking for


CONVERSATION IN THE RESTAURANT

In this class the main activity was the conversation in the restaurant, using the munu that we had already done last week in class, the conversation had to carry the vocabulary previously used in other classes.

In addition, the teacher told us that in order to make the sketch look more real, we would bring real food from the menu, and when the class was secured we would make a small share with what was taken to class.
In total we were five groups that did the sketch in the restaurant, my group although we did not have a correct organization, we were able to achieve the objective since we used the vocabulary and took some dishes from our menu.
The group that I liked the most was that of my partner Helen because I carry everything necessary for the sketch, such as drinks, cutlery, plates, wine, among other things.
At the end of the dynamic we made the sharing among all the classmates, I really like the activity that the teacher did since we integrate more as classmates.

NOUNS

At the beginning of the class, the teacher told us about the experiences she had in the last conference she attended. Then we left an activity that consisted of filling in a crossword about antonyms, synonyms and adjectives that we had already developed in the class.


In addition, in the classroom we made groups of 5 people, to be able to carry out a competition about who could write more nouns in the shortest possible time, according to the topic that the teacher said.
The topics were as follows:

  • Vegetables
  • Adjectives
  • Colors

Finally, the teacher informed us that we will make a menu of meals since the next class would represent a small outline about the attention in a restaurant

MID-TERM EXAM

Today we had the partial exam online with Professor Gabriela since the university was on strike and we could not enter.

All the classmates connected at 9 am in the morning to start the exam.



Although there were some errors in the exam, the teacher was able to correct it so that no one is harmed in that way.

The exam ended at 10 am, after that we made a video call with the teacher to understand the answer to each question, although again I had problems to communicate I can solve it by making a video call with a co-bell of this way the teacher could see and hear me .



Finally the teacher asked us for next week to bring our CV to share it in class.

The way this test was taken was new and interesting, accessible to all students, I am pleased that the teacher uses the technology to be able to take her classes naturally.
